Mary McDonnell

 Mary Eileen McDonnell (born April 28 1952) is an American stage, film, and television actress. She was nominated to the Academy Award for her roles in Dances with Wolves as Stands With A Finger and Passion Fish as May-Alice Culhane. McDonnell is best known for her appearances in Battlestar Galactica as President Laura Roslin as well as First Lady Marilyn Whitmore, and Rose in Donnie Darko. In the seasons of 5-7 McDonnell was a part of the cast as Captain Sharon Raydor and in Major Crimes spin-offs on TNT.
